On Wednesday, May 6th at 7pm, the Underwater HOA will be having its very first online meeting.

Cortada Projects is excited to be bringing the UHOA to an online platform where it will provide a space for the community to come together, reflect on our collective situation, and work together for a brighter future. Indeed, this first online meeting will explore our shared vulnerability as a community.  The pandemic has exposed how unprepared we were in responding to threats we knew existed. Are there any lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic that we can apply so that we are better prepared to face both future pandemics and future rising seas?  We know both are coming.

Presented in part through the artist’s Miami Corona Project, this meeting will be part of a “Conversations” series where artist Xavier Cortada hosts a discussion with members of the community about the impact of COVID-19 locally.  This online meeting will be recorded and then featured on the “MCP Conversations” webpage here.
