The gala event will feature original artwork “Seahorse|Seagrass” by Miami’s Eco-artist Xavier Cortada created expressly to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserves. A drink will be offered during the reception, as well as a sit-down dinner and a tantalizing silent auction.

You are cordially invited to our fun and festive “bay chic” themed evening showcasing the beauty and forty-year history of the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserves – through pictures, art, video, and storytelling.

The event will feature original artwork “Seahorse|Seagrass” by Miami’s Eco-artist Xavier Cortada created expressly to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserves. A signature drink will be offered during the cocktail reception, as well as a sit-down dinner and a tantalizing silent auction.

The Honorable David Richardson, State Representative serving District 113, will offer the keynote address. Wanda Myles, host of Morning Edition on South Florida’s NPR News Station 91.3 WLRN, will serve as the evening’s emcee.  Cortada and Miami-Dade County Commissioner-Elect Daniella Levine Cava will address the group.

Rounding out the evening will be a display of children’s eco-artwork inspired by their own eco-action – a personal commitment to help Biscayne Bay not just survive but thrive for many years to come.
