Join us for our very first Plan(T) Library Presentation on Friday, September 27 at the Pinecrest Branch Library from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Founder, Xavier Cortada, will be addressing the issue of climate change and how Plan(T) will combat its negative impacts on the South Florida community, like sea-level-rise and saltwater intrusion.
Plan(T) aims to expand South Florida’s mangrove forest by asking residents to plant mangrove propagules, or seedlings, in their own backyards. It is a project that involves the whole community and a project that saves the whole community.
Mangrove propagules will be given to each attendee, along with a customizable elevation-marked flag.
The Pinecrest Library Presentation is the first of fifty presentations that will be held throughout South Florida this year. If you can not join us on Friday stay on the look out for more presentations on our site. You can also follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter for updates!
Hope to see you there!
