ON THIS DAY

As the coronavirus pandemic rages on and the lack of access governmental assistance becomes more apparent like yesterday’s City of Miami application influx, businesses are stepping up to provide services to Miami-Dade County Residents. Uber is one of these businesses, having donated $50,000 in free rides to Hialeah residents. The City of Hialeah is one of three cities in Miami-Dade that has become most impacted by COVID-19. Uber’s free ride service provides essential trips to grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, and work to at-risk populations including seniors.

This collaboration functions through Senator René Garcia, Councilman Jesus Tundidor, and the Hope Mission Center and will run through June 30th.
