Nine of our neighbors have been pronounced dead in the last 24 hours. As of June 3rd, 2020, there have been a total of 731 deaths due to coronavirus across Miami-Dade County. May those who have fallen to the pandemic rest in peace.

Athletics across the state including Miami Hurricanes Football and Miami Heat Basketball are gearing up to start their seasons on time. Miami Hurricanes athletic director Blake James said the season will probably begin without fans in the stands. The NBA is also preparing to vote on a return-to-play plan this Thursday with its Board of Governors. Players are returning from their quarantines in their hometowns, preparing to quarantine once again with their teams as leagues figure out the details of resuming sports amisdt the pandemic.
