The Community Action Survey Report was first announced in early April. In order to help better identify and predict coronavirus trends, a survey amongst Floridians has been officially launched this Thursday but suggested that Floridians aren’t following safety measures.

As of Friday, about 1.5% of the State’s population completed the survey. Of those surveyed, 22.5% say they don’t clean or disinfect frequently. When asked ifthey would stay at home if they’re sick, 25.8% of people said they would not. More than 50 percent of people said they haven’t been consulting the CDC, Florida Department of Health or their doctors. Out of the 324,208 surveyed, 35,818 said they have symptoms, 12,563 said they feel sick and 882 said they traveled while feeling sick.

These worrying survey statistics do not reflect the populations within the state that have been impacted the most. Additionally, it is still unclear how often this data is updated and whether users can retake the survey as a revisiting or new respondent.
