RECLAMATION PROJECT
The Reclamation Project creates vertical mangrove nurseries as living installations that eventually rebuild ecosystems above and below the waterline.
THE UNDERWATER
The Underwater creates elevation-driven public art installations that reveal the vulnerability of coastal communities to rising seas, spark climate conversations, and catalyze civic engagement.
For three decades, artist Xavier Cortada has worked collaboratively with communities around the world to create art projects that address important social and environmental concerns. The artist created a nonprofit, the Xavier Cortada Foundation, to grow and advance many of the socially engaged art projects.
