Shit Show is a collaborative art making platform Miami artist Xavier Cortada has developed in partnership with Miami Waterkeeper and the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center to engage South Florida community members in address environmental degradation of their beaches. Specifically, the artist is inviting participants to develop artistic interventions to advocate for more water monitoring and demand solutions to the water crisis.
Participants are invited to create their own artistic interventions (e.g., performances, videos, happenings, images, poems, writings, dances, songs, art) and upload them on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/miamishitshow and on their own social media platforms — adding the hashtag #MiamiSHITSHOW: to the title of their work.
