The Florida Department of Transportation commissioned Xavier Cortada to create artworks for Florida Turnpike’s Ft. Drum, West Palm Beach, and Turkey Lake Plaza. Also at Turkey Lake Plaza is “Florida is… Wildflowers” depicting 29 puzzle pieces coming together to create an image of wildflowers descending upon a Florida landscape as part of his participatory eco-art project, Florida is… Nature.
