In 2013, Miami-Dade Housing Authority commissioned Xavier Cortada to create public artworks for Dante Fascell Apartments in Allapattah. The low-income senior living complex, renovated in 2012, was named after Rep. Dante Fascell who championed the creation of Biscayne National Park in the 1960s.
