One Hialeah assisted living facility was met with 47 residents being hospitalized for COVID-19. When Florida health inspectors visited the facility, the found it to be extremely underprepared to deal with the highly contagious virus, suspending the facility’s license Friday night. In their survey, they found an employee the facility new tested positive was taking temperatures of other staff members entering the facility while wearing no PPE. They also reported that all staff members on site had been exposed to the virus and the facility took no action to send them home and replace them.
