Earth Day celebration at the British Residence with Consular corps

Xavier Cortada joined the Consular corps and Mayor Daniella Levine Cava at the British Residence on Earth Day 2022 to share his thoughts about the urgency of this moment: He told the general consuls, who usually have 3-4 year terms in the city, “[I know you are temporary residents… but in truth all of us are temporary residents of this planet and must be its faithful stewards.]”

During the evening, British Consul General Nicolette Brent thanked Cortada for loaning two of his original paintings to the British Residence, “Cangrejo” and “Coral | Polyps,” pictured below.
