On Nov 16th, Cortada spoke at the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact’s 15th Annual Climate Leadership Summit. Featuring his celebrated “The Underwater” socially engaged art project, the Miami-Dade County artist-in-residence highlighted the value of interactive public art for civic engagement around climate concerns. Emphasizing art’s pivotal role in climate solutions, he acknowledged artists’ substantial contributions to 900 attendees.
