In celebration of Earth Month, Professor Cortada led University of Miami students in planting red mangrove propagules along the canal by the Miami Herbert Business School. Participants discovered their home’s elevation above sea level, depicted their number on a white flag, and then selected a small mangrove to carry to the planting site in a procession led by Cortada.
