The Hometown Heroes Parade is meant to honor the sacrifices first responders, healthcare workers, and law enforcement professionals have made on behalf of Miami-Dade County residents, including during the COVID-19 Pandemic. 

Enjoy interactive activities and events, art displays, food trucks, live performances and more at the Family Fun Fest located at the FTX Arena’s Parcel B. Kids of all ages can enjoy a variety of activities including rock climbing, bungee jumping, zip lining and Halloween festivities. The event will begin at noon and will be free and open to all.

Miami-Dade inaugural artist-in-residence Xavier Cortada will create a collaborative message mural on canvas honoring sacrifices first responders, healthcare workers, and law enforcement professionals made on behalf of Miami-Dade County residents, including during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Attendees will be invited to write their messages on pieces of paper that the artist will collage on the surface of the art piece. The art work, to be owned by the County, will permanently capture the expressions of gratitude from its citizens.
