April 20, 2021
University of Miami’s Presidential Initiative on Immigration and Social Change presents Immigration Policy for a New Era, hosted by UM’s Institute for the Advanced Studies of the Americas.
Established in 2015, the University of Miami Institute for Advanced Study of the Americas brings together relevant scholarship, furthers policy dialogue, and builds strategic knowledge partnerships to address challenges faced by the Americas in the 21st century.
Building on the foundational work, trajectory, and interests of the Center for Hemispheric Policy and the Center for Latin American Studies over the last decade, the institute promotes human, economic, and social development across Latin America and the Caribbean through research, teaching, convening, disseminating, and incubating innovative projects. Its mission is to create and share knowledge bridging the Americas, strengthening all areas of the University of Miami engaged in research relevant to the hemisphere.
Xavier Cortada presents his social practice as a panelist during the roundtable on April 20, 2021.
