DESCRIPTION:The Artists & Climate Change Incubator is open to artists\, activists\, scientists\, and educators who want to engage or further their engagement with climate change through artistic practices. All disciplines are welcome and individuals from traditionally underrepresented populations and communities are encouraged to attend. The Incubator is an inclusive environment that supports diverse perspectives. \nDuring this 5-day intensive think tank/workshop\, participants interact with accomplished guest speakers from the natural and social sciences who have in-depth knowledge of the Florida climate context\, with a special focus on the built environment. Conversations and creative work sessions allow everyone to dig deep into the challenges and concerns of working at the intersection of the arts and a rapidly changing climate\, such as creating narratives that acknowledge inevitable losses but leave room for the possibility of a thriving and inclusive future. \n— \nBack to all 2020 Events
