Biscayne National Park
As the largest marine park in the National Park System, Biscayne National Park protects mangrove forests, clear bay waters, the northernmost Florida Keys and a portion of the world’s third-largest coral reef.
Endangered World: 360 Eco-Actions
In creating the 360 flags for the mile- long installation at Biscayne National Park, 360 participants committed to engage in 360 eco-actions in support of their 360 “adopted” endangered animals.
Dear fellow Endangered World flag makers:
We need to get about a dozen of our 360 “Endangered World: Biscayne National Park Installation” flag makers to participate in the BioBlitz closing ceremonies at the park. See:http://www.nps.gov/bisc/support yourpark/endangered-world- biscayne-national-park.htm. (site no longer available)
Basically, we will use these 12 to highlight the entire project, asking them to parade in as we mention their name and ecoaction as a source of inspiration for others. Read the 360 eco-actions at http://www.xaviercortada.com/? EW_BNP_ecoactions (site no longer available)
BNP’s Gary Bremen will select the 12 based on diversity of ecoactions and longitudes, They would need to be available from about 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday May 1, and will need to allow travel time on the shuttle out to the park.
Those interested in participating, please contact Mr. Bremen directly either by email (gary_bremen@nps.gov) or by phone (305-230-1144, x007).
