The Main Gallery at Florida Gulf Coast University hosts FLOR500 Region 7 Exhibit coinciding with Florida Native Plant Society Conference. Opening May 17th though June 13th.
Xavier Cortada will be a speaker for the Florida Native Plant Society Conference at FGCU on May 17th coinciding with the opening of FLOR 500 Region 7 Exhibit at the Main Gallery.

Exhibition opens:
Saturday May 17, 9am- Open to the public
Native Plant Society will host all day nature activities at FGCU. These activities are open to the public.
Gallery reception:
for the artists, community, and conference attendees, Saturday May 17th, 5pm to 7pm
Artist Talk:
Saturday, May 17th, 2:20 pm-3:00 pm – Xavier Cortada will speak about FLOR500 Project before the opening reception in the Student Union Ballroom. (Second floor)
This exhibition includes artworks by 59 artists from the surrounding 8 county region. Mr. Cortada will host a Saturday afternoon session during our conference program to explain the Florida native plant oriented exhibition to the 450 or so conference attendees and volunteers inviting them to the wine and cheese reception immediately following Dr. Bill Hammond, our plenary speaker. Coincidentally, Dr. Hammond is one of the 59 local artists who created one of the 59 artworks for the art exhibit.
The wine and cheese reception, from 5 pm to 7 pm, is open to the public as well as the conference participants.
