SUMMARY:CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19: EcoCultura Fest
DESCRIPTION:ECOCULTURA FEST\nWHERE ART MEETS ACTION\nAT HISTORIC VIRGINIA KEY BEACH PARK\nCelebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day at ECOCULTURA FEST\, a free community festival for the whole family by MDC Live Arts featuring: \n\nLive performances\nAction-driven community dialogues\nArt activations\nLocal music and food\nInteractive experiences\nHands-on service opportunities and so much more.\n\nECOCULTURA FEST will gather organizations and artists working for climate justice in South Florida for an all-day\, action-driven\, program of exciting events and activities for the community. Importantly\, Cortada Projects will have multiple participatory eco-art projects to get involved with including Plan(T)\, Longitudinal Installation\, and the Underwater HOA. \nThe festival kicks off with Baynanza‘s 38th anniversary Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day\, which celebrates the significance of our most important ecological systems in South Florida through concrete community action\, and will close with National Water Dance\, the renowned “movement choir” dance project founded by Miami-based choreographer Dale Andree performed simultaneously across the United States. \nWe live in one of the nation’s most vulnerable regions to climate change but the sea isn’t the only thing rising. \nJoin the movement for climate justice and celebrate art’s role in our changing world. \n— \nBack to all 2020 Events
