A select group of individuals, including artist Xavier Cortada, creating positive change in South Florida were invited to meet Thomas West, Executive Director of the national non-profit The Peace Studio on Saturday, October 23.

The Peace Studio was co-founded by President Obama’s sister, the peace scholar, Maya Soetoro, along with literary agents Todd Shuster and Jennifer Gates. The Peace Studio engages journalists and artists to adcance a more peaceful and just culture through arts and journalism by telling the difficult stories in such a way that celebrates the capacity of human resilience in the darkest of times.

This breakfast took place at Big Brothers and Big Sisters on Saturday, October 23 from 10 a.m. to 11:30.
