Artist Xavier Cortada will go ‘Solar’ for a cause

Miami artist Xavier Cortada unveils Solar, a participatory performance, environmental and political art project in support of Floridians for Solar Choice (www.flsolarchoice.org) and efforts to bring more solar power to the state. Real solar panels serve as the canvas for Cortada’s work. They’ll be on view from 7 to 10 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Bakehouse Art Complex, 561 NW 32nd St., Miami (admission is $5), and from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. Sept. 12 at Mana Wynwood, 318 NW 23rd St., Miami.
