what is your fear?
A daughter who lives near Miami Mary Brickell Village (elevation 4.64’), in the heart of Miami’s financial district, could write:
HELLO, my fear is that greed and shortsightedness will lead to inaction.
VOICES
That the illegal wildlife trade continues and spreads future pandemics worldwide. Man continues to kill nature’s beauty instead of preserving and protecting it.
My fear is... letting fear overrule. The best tools we have to fight the climate crisis is creativity, audacity and courage to act on a problem that seems bigger than us. Our power is in numbers and we cannot (and should not...how boring) do this alone.
My fear is... that many of my friends, family, and neighbors may be refugees again in this lifetime - this time due to climate.
My fear is... vested interests will keep dividing or distracting the people and delay decarbonization of the economy.
Some days I experience each of the four seasons in less than 10 hours, and I would be frightened if there are no seasons left in the future.
