All Miami-Dade Public Libraries

Plan(T) has encouraged community conversations on sea level rise and saltwater intrusion at 45 public libraries throughout Miami-Dade County. Each library has displayed project information, mangrove seedling exhibits and hosted student guest speakers as part of the public awareness education campaign.

On January 11th 2020, the mangroves hanging in each library were then made available for the public to take home. See more about this here.

In addition to a Plan(T) installation, the Main Library houses original works from Cortada’s Miami Mangrove Forest – the images used by volunteers to paint dozens of columns beneath I-95 in 2004.
