Xavier Cortada will present Native Flags at the 6th Annual South Florida Tree Summit. Native Flags is a participatory eco-art project created by Xavier Cortada, FIU College of Architecture + The Arts | Office of Engaged Creativity artist-in-residence. Native Flags participants plant a native tree next to a green flag at home and ask their neighbors to do the same. On April 10th, a Native Flag green flag and sapling were be planted at every school in Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
