Schools

Plan(T) aims to engage local schools across Miami-Dade County. Through mangrove propagule installations and presentations on the issues of global climate change and sea level rise, students will not only learn about the issues affecting their community, but will be able to become active participants as they help to grow Miami’s future salt-tolerant tree canopy.

As one of Plan(T)’s sponsors, the University of Miami is currently hosting the installation in the Miami Herbert Business School, Richter Library, the School of Law library, and the Lennar Foundation Medical Center.

Miami Beach Senior High is our featured high school, with 2,500 mangroves installed throughout the school. We are our very grateful for their contribution and partnership with the Xavier Cortada Foundation.
