10/5/2018: UPDATE…
Unfortunately, there have been recent RED TIDE findings in our county waters that have caused beach closure at the northern end. Because of this we are going to move the MARCH TO SEA indoors (for people’s health sake).
#MiamiSHITSHOW understands that many participants and students have been hard at work on their MARCH TO SEA performance art projects. We are going to retitle the performance, “AES OT HCRAM,” because everything is backwards. The march and performances will have a heightened level of surreal (but all too real) absurdity when we have to perform them indoors

Procession: With toilet paper in hand, participants will gather in the courtyard of the Biscayne Bay Nature Center and form a procession to march to the sea.

|
|
Cleansing: This somber procession of concerned citizens will march to the water’s edge, where they will wipe the sand clean.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Children’s Crusade: Needed, children at the beach, if it is safe for them to swim if not then just playing in the sand. No children will be sacrificed.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Ostrich holes: Participants needed to dig holes in the sand to represent politicians who have their heads in the sand.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Additional procession of plungers and bedpans will follow.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Suggested games to be played on the beach:
Tug war & volleyball. Surprise elements included.
|
|
